    Translating client requirements into solution proposals, architectures and effort estimates for enterprise engagements. Runs technical discovery and scoping workshops, builds the proof-of-concepts that decide whether a proposal survives, and advises on cloud cost and well-architected trade-offs.

    Full-stack delivery for international clients: enterprise integration against legacy banking infrastructure, a gamified mental-health learning platform, AI-assisted content tooling, and B2B pharmaceutical distribution. Also the primary technical interviewer and mentor for the team.

    Full-stack Engineer

    AI-integrated systems for Japanese and EU clients — email processing agents and document extraction — built with Python/FastAPI and Next.js, deployed to Azure with Docker and Kubernetes. Authored the Basic and Detail Design documents those clients required.

    Web platforms for Japanese and international clients on teams of fifteen or more: a browser video-calling product, booking systems, and a school management system. Payment gateways, SSO, and the database design underneath them.

    Hotel and hot-spring management systems for the Japanese tourism industry, in a team of four to six. PHP and Python back ends, MySQL schema design, and the maintenance rota that came with running them in production.

    Independent Engineer

    Direct client work, start to finish: understanding the problem, designing the architecture and schema, provisioning cloud infrastructure, building the thing, deploying it, and supporting it afterwards. The longest-running thread here, and the one that taught me pricing and scope.
